Big Button is once again working with leading financial mutual Wesleyan.
The project is a brand film to highlight the firm’s unique culture, their client-centric approach and their outstanding professionalism. Once completed, it will be used to promote Wesleyan to their target audiences, and attract and retain new talent.
The project features sweeping aerial shots of Wesleyan’s head office, and views across the city of Birmingham. Wesleyan’s PR Manager Neil Whelan: “We’ve been headquartered in Birmingham since 1841. We’re proud of that, and we wanted to showcase our location, and Birmingham, in the most exciting way possible. Using a drone has added a real dynamism to the film”
But with the UK’s current heightened security concerns, the drone filming came to the attention of an armed police unit. Neil Whelan: “We shot at the weekend to avoid crowds, but suddenly found ourselves with two unexpected visitors. Luckily, Big Button had acquired all the necessary flight and security clearances well in advance, and the police check was just routine rather than anything more worrying! They were able to check all of the paperwork, and even gave us a smile as we filmed the next ascent!”
Big Button’s Client Services Director, Simon Crofts, said: “Drone filming adds so much to a project if used in the right context, but for safety and security reasons it’s really important to work with reputable operators and get all clearances in advance. We’re delighted with the footage we got and can’t wait to integrate it into the brand film.”
