Big Button has celebrated its first success at the Rail Business Awards, with its client RSSB (Rail Safety and Standards Board).
The team were recognised for an episode of the 'RED' programme, a UK rail industry 'magazine' video which highlights best practice in safety and standards through a mixture of interviews, expert comment, and dramatic reconstructions of real safety incidents. RED episode 59 featured a drama based around the issue of trespassing on railway lines, and caught the judges' attention in the Education and Training Excellence category:
"By humanising the risks and evoking emotion, this video creates a dramatic impact to start meaningful conversations, making the viewer feel connected to the safety issues being addressed."
The event, now in its 25th year, was held at the London Hilton on Park Lane, and was attended by Production Director Sam Lewis and Producer/Director Kela Kay for Big Button. Sam Lewis: "We're now into the 8th year of our relationship with RSSB, and working on the RED programme is one of the most rewarding projects we're involved in because of its huge contribution to the rail safety conversation. We're delighted that RED has been recognised at such a prestigious awards ceremony, highlighting the important work RSSB do for the whole UK rail industry."
