Big Button is a UK Top 50 strategic video agency with bases in Birmingham, London, and Boston MA. Our purpose is to partner with organisations to help them deliver maximum success from video, and we’re looking for a talented Senior Editor to work in our Birmingham office.
You’ll have at least 5 years professional experience as an editor, and be an expert in at least one leading NLE package; we work on DaVinci Resolve, but if you know AVID, FCP or Premiere like the back of your hand we’d like to hear from you. A knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop is also highly desirable, as well as a developed technical awareness of related areas such as AI, audio mixing, shared storage, encoding, and file formats. You may already be working at senior level with some team supervision experience, or you may feel like you’re ready to step up. Either way, your ‘professional’ experience must be from a paid work setting, and not as a hobbyist or student.
As an editor you’re fast, creative, and able to tell a great story even if it’s buried deep in the rushes. You’re experienced in observing strict brand guidelines, interpreting complex briefs, and working independently under the pressure of tight deadlines; your accuracy and quality control skills are excellent, and you take feedback well.

You’ll be a confident speaker, a proven team worker, and comfortable expressing your ideas to colleagues and clients. We are a growing team; your opinion will count and your creative contribution to our award-winning work will be valued.
You’ll be joining a team of 4 Editors and 2 Motion Designers; the team thrive on a ‘coaching’ management style, and you’ll be expected to help develop and support new/junior members, occasionally stepping up to run things when the Head of Post is absent.

Salary is negotiable based on experience, but in the region of £40K per annum plus a generous profit-share bonus (see below). Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend Big Button’s Birmingham office to complete a skills test.
